Great review of an equally great movie. I thought the most interesting thing about the movie was how closely Pixar linked Earth with being human. The most human thing in the movie at first was Wall-E, a robot. The pudgy, giant-baby-like humans on the ship are very not human until they see wall-e, now an Earth being, or the plant, an actual product of Earth.

Also, the sounds in this movie are unbelievably cool and absolutely essential to making it feel emotionally real to the viewer. Two hilarious sounds they used are the apple macintosh boot-up sound as Wall-e boots up (clearly a tip to Steve Jobs' role in Pixar) and the Yoshi noise that's used at some point but i can't remember where. I definitely dug it.
